Our technologies

The technologies presented below encompass the full range of tools and solutions.

used by B.A. to meet its objectives and operational needs.

k

HDD

Hard Disk Drive. The internal hard drive is a computer component whose job it is to store all the data on your PC or Mac.

k

SSD

Solid Disk Drive. Up to 15 times faster than hard disks. SSDs offer shorter start-up times, faster data transfers and higher bandwidth. With their faster speeds, SSDs can process data at extremely high data rates.

k

NVMe

Non Volatile Memory Express. New storage access and transport protocol designed for next-generation Flash and SSD drives.

k

ZFS

Zettabyte File System. A file system offering the highest level of security available today. Thanks to its "Copy On Write" architecture, it is impossible to corrupt data and the file system following a sudden outage. This avoids the need for automatic file system analysis and rebuilding after an outage.

k

RAID-Z

A special kind of RAID that uses the ZFS file system exclusively. Its distinctive feature is that it is software-based and therefore totally hardware-independent, unlike a conventional RAID.

k

BLOCK MODE

Write data in block mode, considerably reducing the amount of data to be moved during replication, snapshot or restore.

k

SNAPSHOT

A snapshot of the contents of a volume at a given moment in time, consuming very little space. For example, if 10MB are modified in a 15GB file between 2 snapshots, the last snapshot will contain only the 10MB of new data. The different versions of the file in question can then be accessed via the "previous version" function of the client machine on which the volume is mounted, enabling the file to be returned to a later state and giving the right to error.

k

REPLICATION

Replication is the ultimate security feature. It enables incremental replication of the main XSTREAMSTORE to one or more other XSTREAMSTOREs. Parameters can be set to program variable synchronization times, right up to near-real time.

k

FIRESAFE by BA

High Availability option for all XSTREAMSTORE racks with two passive active failover heads, providing the highest level of security on the market with no interruption to production.

k

NGFW firewall

Next GenerationFirewall (NGFW). Third-generation firewall technology, combining a conventional firewall with other network device filtering functions, such as an application firewall using inline Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS).

k

FLASH

Storage using only SSD or NVME disks, combining flexibility and high performance at XSTREAMSTORE prices.

k

XSTRMKONNECTOR by B.A.

Application developed by B.A. enabling users, among other things, to mount the volumes to which they have access on their client machine. Simplicity, security and ergonomics are the watchwords.

k

CACHE 1ER level

Buffer storage in random access memory (RAM). Buffer zone located in the RAM sector of the XSTREAMSTORE.

k

CACHE 2E level

Intelligent, ultra-fast Nvme playback cache optimized for immediate, predictive media access (media a/v).
