Thanks to our direct experience in the field, in collaboration with key players in the capture industry, we have been able to observe the non-negotiable constraints of size, noise and robustness that every ingest machine must take into account in an OB Van or ALGECO.
Broadcast Architech then designed a special enclosure for XGESTORE that perfectly meets all these requirements. With a depth of less than 65 cm, XGESTORE fits easily into any rack. With a height of just 3U and a weight of less than 30 kg, XGESTORE can be easily and effortlessly handled and transported by a single technician. As server integrity is of paramount importance, XGESTORE features a finely optimized cooling system to achieve the best possible airflow while maintaining very low noise emissions. What's more, all the system's internal sub-assemblies are locked, guaranteeing the server's integrity even if it is dropped during transport.
Data security is a top priority in the broadcast world. That's why XGESTORE, in addition to recording in real time on several selected devices, also records to its internal memory. For this, XGESTORE has an SSD RAID of up to 256 TB, or over 2600h of DNx185 recording.
This internal memory can be used to store several recordings for security purposes, and requires an administrator's approval before it can be deleted.

XGESTORE's operational power and universality save you a considerable amount of time. It records directly to pre-configured codecs, in real time and to any destination of your choice: front-end SSD, XSTREAMSTORE server, NAS server or remote via a 10Gb to 100Gb connection, USB key...
XGESTORE also records low-resolution versions used for editing in parallel with the main recording on a chosen device.
This means that once the capture is complete, the media is immediately ready for use, with no need for transcoding or file copying.

XGESTORE can be infinitely stacked for an unlimited number of channels. In this type of configuration, all XGESTORE units can be easily managed from a single interface.
This interface can be controlled both locally and remotely from the other side of the world. During recording, XGESTORE enables data to be centralized and organized, sub-clips to be created, timelines to be de-rushed and created/distributed, playlists to be prepared, access to be managed... XGESTORE is therefore perfectly suited to integration within a nodal system or data center.
Connected by dark fiber to various capture sites all over the world, it becomes possible to centralize operators and fitters in a single location.
In addition to its recording functions, XGESTORE also offers a range of tools for live or recorded broadcasting.
As an option, XGESTORE can be fitted with several high-performance HD playout channels, enabling content to be broadcast while it is being recorded.
