Cinegy unlocks interlaced H.264 encoding on NVIDIA GPUs

Cinegy has released the Cinecoder SDK 4.22, solving a major challenge for the TV and broadcast industries. Interlaced H.264, widely used for 1080i HDTV transmission, was experiencing disruptions due to hardware changes and NVIDIA drivers. The new SDK enables interlaced H.264 encoding on Turing, Ampere and Ada Lovelace GPUs, offering improved performance, higher throughput and greater energy efficiency. This update restores flexibility to broadcasters, supporting modern GPUs and cloud deployments with up-to-date drivers.

Software update: CINEGY improves scaling

Cinegy focuses on demonstrating its constant scalability and investment protection, which has enabled its customers to move from Standard Definition (SD) to High Definition (HD), to Ultra High Definition (UHD), and now to 8K, without having to replace their infrastructure. This software-based approach preserves operational expertise while advancing technical capabilities.
All new AI-enhanced software capabilities will support real-time upscaling and frame rate conversion workflows.
